Marla earned a Certificate in 2024 in AI Product Development from MIT. She is currently the Tech Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she guides courses in AI for business and AI product hackathons at the intersection of entrepreneurship, AI applications, and personalized learning.

She produced the groundbreaking video game Immercenary for Electronic Arts, founded a successful internet company in 1995, developed hundreds of business websites and e-commerce platforms, launched search marketing strategies from Arkansas before Google even existed, led a digital media company, started a blockchain company focused on safe and healthy, local food value chains, and a no-code data integration platform for the financial services industry that was selected to be part of the FIS FinTech Accelerator.
